*Quick And Easy Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. melted shortening or Wesson oil
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Combine shortening, sugar and molasses.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with hot water, beating until smooth. Bake in a greased 6 x 10-inch or 9 x 9-inch greased and floured pan at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
    This is especially good served warm.
    Makes 9 servings.
