Chicken With Toasted Almonds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chicken breasts
    salad oil
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 c. cornstarch plus 2 Tbsp.
    dash of pepper
    2 cans clear chicken broth
    1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1/2 c. frozen peas, thawed
    1 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. toasted, slivered almonds
Preparation
    Slice chicken breasts into long thin slivers.
    To make them easier to slice, store in freezer until partially frozen.
    Then let thaw at room temperature.
