Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
3 Tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter
1 small glass whiskey
1 lb. candied pineapple
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. white raisins
1 1/2 lb. shelled pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Leave out 1/2 cup flour to dredge fruit and nuts in.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add flour, which has been sifted with spices and soda.
Add milk, whiskey and vanilla. Mix until well blended.
Pour over fruit and nut mixture.
Mix well.
Chill.
Drop by teaspoon on well-greased cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
