Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour or enough to handle
Preparation
    Mix 1st three ingredients; add milk.
    Sift other dry ingredients together and add, mixing well.
    Roll dough on floured board and cut out doughnuts, about 1/2-inch thick.
    Carefully place in hot fat that is 380\u00b0.
    Brown each side and drain on paper towels.
