Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
    1 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1 (No. 2) can sliced or crushed pineapple, drained*
    1/4 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. flour or 1 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 eggs or 2 (if desired), separated
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. pineapple juice
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter for batter
Preparation
    *Note:
    May substitute 3 cups sliced fresh peaches for pineapple.
