Bacon Turnovers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    shortening
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. water
    oil (for greasing)
    beaten egg (to glaze)
    2 bacon slices, chopped
    1 small onion, grated
    1 small potato, grated
    1 small carrot, grated
    pinch of thyme
    1 Tbsp. steak sauce
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Make dough and roll a portion out to a 5 inch circle.
    Put a portion of the filling in the center.
    Brush with water to seal. Crimp edges and brush with beaten egg.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
