Coconut Pecan Filling And Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 c. butter or oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. coconut (approximate)
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, oleo and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add coconut and pecans.
Beat until cool and of spreading consistency.
Great on oatmeal or German chocolate cake.
