Red Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. (2 oz.) red food coloring
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
2 1/4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

In a bowl, cream the shortening and sugar. Add eggs.
Cream. In a small bowl, mix food coloring and 1/2 teaspoon soda.
Add to creamed mixture. Add the following ingredients alternately to creamed mixture:
buttermilk or sour milk, salt and flour.
