Potato Scallop - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt and pepper
    dash of paprika
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    2 1/2 c. potatoes
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter 5 minutes.
    Stir in flour and seasoning. Cook over low heat until smooth.
    Remove from heat.
    Gradually stir in milk.
    Heat, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened. Add cheese.
    Mix well.
    Layer 1/2 of potatoes in greased casserole.
    Cover with 1/2 of cheese sauce.
    Repeat potato and cheese sauce.
    Bake 1 hour, covered, then uncover and bake an additional 15 to 30 minutes until golden brown on 350\u00b0.
