Ingredients

1 c. flour
8 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. oleo, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 2/3 c. boiling water
confectioners sugar (optional)
whipped cream (optional)
Preparation

In bowl, combine oleo, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and vanilla. Mix flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt and add alternately to first mixture, stirring until well blended.
Add nuts.
