Crystal-Cut Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    dash of salt
    4 to 6 drops flavoring and color
Preparation
    Combine to boiling. Cook to hard crack stage (290\u00b0).
    Pour into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch metal pan.
