Snickerdoodles Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening (part butter)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt and stir in first mixture.
    Roll into balls the size of a small walnut.
    Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
    Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake until lightly browned but still soft.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
