Manicotti - cooking recipe

1 pkg. manicotti noodles
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
6 oz. can tomato paste
8 oz. can tomato sauce
24 oz. can whole tomatoes
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 carton Ricotta cheese
1 egg
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cook noodles as directed.
Brown beef in skillet.
Separate browned beef in half.
Add to beef in skillet tomato paste, sauce, whole tomatoes (quartered), garlic, parsley, basil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and oregano.
Simmer 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Combine Ricotta cheese, egg, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper, 1 cup Mozzarella cheese and remaining beef in separate bowl.
Pour 1/2 of sauce mixture in bottom of 12 x 8-inch baking dish.
Stuff manicotti noodles with cheese mixture.
Place in baking dish.
Pour remaining sauce over stuffed noodles.
Add 1 cup Mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
