Waffles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain flour
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    5 eggs, separated
    2 1/4 c. milk
    7 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Combine beaten egg yolks, milk and shortening; add to dry ingredients, beating until smooth.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour batter on hot waffle iron and bake until brown.
