Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. yellow cornmeal
    1/3 c. molasses
    3 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. cold milk
Preparation
    Scald the 3 cups of milk; stir in cornmeal and molasses.
    Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; add everything but cold milk.
    Pour into buttered baking dish.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Add cold milk; do not stir. Continue baking at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    Serve with whipped cream.
