Bev'S Georgetown Eggnog - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1 pt. whiskey
1 qt. whipping cream
nutmeg
1 gal. sweet cider (use the unstrained kind for better tast)
2 qt. cranberry cocktail juice (unsweetened)
1 large pkg. frozen orange juice (straight from the container; do not add water)
1 large (2 liter) bottle Vernor's ginger ale
Preparation

Mix together in an unlined pumpkin shell and add 1 jar spiced red apple rings (juice and all).
Tie a piece of dry ice in a small net bag.
Cut up on old onion bag or the like and drop it in the punch just before serving. (It will chill the punch and give off a beautiful and harmless, spooky mist at the same time.)
Dry ice can be bought at Joe's Ice on Plymouth Road in Detroit or at most ice cream stores.
