1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Mix sugar and butter; add molasses, then all dry ingredients along with hot water.
Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan.
Bake for 45 minutes at 325\u00b0.
