San'S Five Bean Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 lb. ground pork
1 large onion, chopped
2 to 3 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 to 2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. oregano
1 to 2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. paprika
2 to 3 tsp. cayenne pepper or to taste
4 to 5 minced jalapeno peppers (optional)
1 (28 oz.) can kitchen ready tomatoes
16 oz. can dark red kidney beans
16 oz. can light red kidney beans
16 oz. can pinto or baked beans
16 oz. can black-eyed peas
16 oz. can garbanzo beans
12 oz. beer
4 Tbsp. chili powder or to taste
1 to 2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until opaque.
Add meats and brown thoroughly.
Drain fat.
Add tomatoes, beer and beans to meat and bring to a simmer.
Simmer uncovered for 5 to 7 minutes. Add remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Taste after 30 minutes, adjusting seasonings to taste.
Simmer for 15 to 20 more minutes.
Serve piping hot.
Garnish with grated Monterey Jack cheese, chopped onions or jalapenos.
Goes great with corn bread!
