Vuyna'S Czechoslovakian Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. butter (not margarine)
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    4 c. flour
    1 c. strawberry jam
    2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter until soft.
    Gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy, about 10 to 15 minutes.
    Add egg yolks and blend well, about 10 minutes.
    Gradually add flour and mix thoroughly. Fold in nuts.
    Spoon half the batter into buttered 13 x 9-inch pan; spread evenly.
    Top with jam; spread evenly.
    Cover with remaining cookie dough.
    Bake in slow oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
    Cool and cut into 1 x 2-inch bars.
