White Mountain Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. choice strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
    1 egg white
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Slice berries into pie shell.
    Add frosting made as follows: Put egg white, sugar, water and corn syrup into double boiler. Place over boiling water and beat on high speed with mixer about 7 minutes or until thick.
    Pour over berries.
    Refrigerate until ready for use.
