Squash Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 yellow squash
    8 small green onions with tops
    3 sprigs parsley
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. cooked bacon
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    4 slices buttered toast (makes about 1 c. crumbs)
    grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Combine
    squash,
    onion, parsley and celery in saucepan with a little water and cook until tender.
    Blend in blender, season with
    salt
    and
    pepper to taste.
    Add bacon, egg, milk and bread crumbs.
    Mix
    well, pour into 2-quart oblong casserole and bake at
    400\u00b0
    for
    20 minutes. Then top with grated cheese and bake until cheese is melted.
