Birthday Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) box strawberry Jell-O or favorite flavor
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. hot water
    3 c. cold water
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
    1 or 2 qt. ginger ale
Preparation
    Dissolve sugar in 2 cups hot water.
    Dissolve Jell-O in 1 cup hot water.
    Combine all ingredients except ginger ale in a gallon jar and freeze.
    When ready to serve, thaw to slush stage and add ginger ale.
