Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 large chopped apples
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cream sugar and margarine. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 9-inch pan.
(Double batch into 9 x 13-inch pan.)
