Hot Asparagus Canapes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 slices thin white bread
    3 oz. Blue cheese
    1 egg
    20 spears fresh cooked asparagus
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1/2 c. butter, melted
Preparation
    Trim crusts and flatten bread with rolling pin.
    Blend cheeses and egg.
    Spread evenly on bread.
    Roll an asparagus spear in each slice.
    Fasten with toothpick.
    Place on cookie sheet and freeze. When firm, slice each roll into thirds.
    When needed, bake at 350\u00b0 until brown, about 10 minutes.
    Makes a lot.
    Can be made ahead and stored in freezer until needed.
