Dorothy'S Raised Potato Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed potato
    1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    8 c. (approximately) flour
Preparation
    Heat the 2 cups of milk; add sugar, shortening, salt and mashed potato.
    Cool until lukewarm and add yeast, eggs and cinnamon.
    Add about 8 cups of flour.
    Mix and knead; let rise. Punch down; turn onto board and cut doughnuts.
    Cook in hot oil until golden brown.
