Kraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    prepared cabbage
    3 tsp. vinegar (per qt.)
    1 Tbsp. salt (per qt.)
    1 tsp. sugar (per qt.)
Preparation
    Cover cabbage with hot spigot water for 1 hour (not boiling); drain and pack into hot jars.
    Add the vinegar, salt and sugar. Cover with boiling water.
    Using hot lids, seal.
    Makes delicious kraut.
