Fresh Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. water
    4 c. (about 2 lb.) sliced peaches
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    pastry for a 2-crust pie
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan; stir in water and peaches.
    Bring to boil and boil 1 minute, stirring gently. Remove from heat; stir in butter, lemon rind and juice and almond extract.
    Cool.
    Prepare unbaked pie crust; add peach mixture. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
