Lemon Punch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
4 c. water
4 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 c. lemon juice
1 to 2 pt. lemon sherbet
1 to 2 pt. orange sherbet
2 qt. ginger ale
Preparation

Combine sugar and 2 cups water.
Heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Cool. Add remaining 2 cups water, lemon peel and juice. Chill.
Pour into chilled punch bowl. Add scoops of sherbet, stirring until partially melted.
Pour ginger ale down side of bowl, stirring with up and down motion.
