Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced yellow squash
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
    3 large eggs
    1/2 c. crushed unsalted crackers (saltines)
    1 (.4 oz.) envelope buttermilk style Ranch dressing mix
    1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation
    Cook squash with onion according to directions on squash package, omitting salt.
    Drain well, pressing between paper towels to remove excess liquid.
    Combine squash mixture, mayonnaise and next 4 ingredients in a lightly greased 2-quart shallow casserole dish.
    Combine bread crumbs and butter; sprinkle over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Yields 8 servings.
