Fried Peach Pieces - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
1 c. sugar
3 c. flour (self-rising)
1/2 c. water
6 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Place peaches in bowl; sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over peaches and set aside for about 1 hour.
Place peaches, 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar in saucepan.
Slowly cook peaches down to pie filling consistency.
If necessary, add 1 or 2 tablespoons cornstarch to thicken.
Place 3 cups flour into a mixing bowl; cut in shortening with a fork.
Slowly add 1 1/2 cups cold water; roll out on floured board.
Roll out about 1/4-inch thick the size of saucer. Spoon 3 or 4 tablespoons pie filling into each round.
Fold over and flute edges with a fork.
Heat vegetable oil in electric skillet between 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0.
Fry pies until golden brown on both sides.
