Homemade Granola Cereal - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 c. oatmeal (old fashioned), dry
2/3 c. corn or vegetable oil
2/3 c. honey
1 c. cut up almonds (with skins on; use blender or knife)
1 c. coconut
1 c. raisins
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
3/4 c. wheat germ
1 c. protein powder (if desired)
Preparation

Heat oatmeal in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish (sprayed with a no-stick spray) at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Mix and stir in oil, honey, almonds and coconut. Return to 325\u00b0 oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Take out and stir every 10 minutes while baking. Browns nicely.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix well and store in refrigerator.
Keeps for weeks.
Very good with milk as cereal or as a snack food.
