Cherry Coffeecake - cooking recipe

1 c. margarine
1 2/3 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
1 can cherry pie filling
powdered sugar glaze
Preparation

Cream margarine with sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add vanilla, almond flavoring, salt and baking powder.
Add flour. Save back 1 cup batter.
Spread the rest in a greased and floured jelly roll pan.
Pour can of cherry pie filling over the top and dab the rest of the batter on the pie filling.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
When cool, drizzle with powdered sugar glaze.
