Aunt Ellie'S Scones(English) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. currants
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. milk
Preparation

In bowl, sift together first 5 ingredients.
Cut in butter until it resembles small peas.
Add fruit.
Stir in buttermilk, little by little, with the blade of a knife.
As soon as dough gathers, stop adding buttermilk.
Knead gently, only enough to form into 2-inch balls.
Roll out on lightly floured board into 1/2-inch thick rounds and into pie slice wedges.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Brush tops with milk.
Bake in preheated 450\u00b0 oven for about 20 minutes.
Split, butter and serve with jam.
Makes 2 dozen.
