Jeff Davis Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) uncooked pastry shell, chilled
    2 c. Imperial pure cane sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Cream together until light and fluffy the butter or margarine and sugar.
    Add flour, salt and vanilla; beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Stir milk in slowly. Pour into well chilled, uncooked crust and bake in hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and continue baking for 30 minutes or until firm.
    Serve slightly warm.
