Pepparkakor Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Karo syrup or molasses
    2/3 c. shortening or butter
    1/3 c. light brown sugar
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 c. milk or cream
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. ground cloves
    1/2 Tbsp. ginger
    2 tsp. baking soda
    about 4 c. flour
Preparation
    Heat syrup with shortening and light brown sugar.
    Cool. Combine egg, milk, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and baking soda.
    Add flour.
    Combine with syrup; knead dough.
    Refrigerate.
    Divide dough into 3 parts and roll thin.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
