Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf white sandwich bread
    1 lb. thin sliced ham
    1 lb. thick sliced Swiss cheese
    9 eggs
    3/4 c. canned evaporated milk
    salt
    pepper
    chives
    cornflakes
    2 sticks butter or margarine
Preparation
    Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Layer bottom with white bread (9 slices, no crust) that have been buttered on both sides.
    Cover bread with thin sliced ham.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and chives.
    Cover meat layer with thick sliced Swiss cheese.
    Layer with bread again, same as before.
