Pfeffernusse(Christmas) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar or honey
1 c. lard
3/4 pt. molasses (1 1/2 c.)
1 egg
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. citron peel
1 Tbsp. anise seed
3 tsp. soda

Preparation

Stir in enough flour so they can be dropped on cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
