Ingredients

3/4 c. Crisco
1 1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Cream together Crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla.
Beat until creamy.
Add egg.
Beat until blended.
Add dry ingredients on low speed.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
Drop by teaspoonfuls.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes for soft chewy cookies and 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
