Carrot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cans or jars strained carrots
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. whole milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Line a 9-inch pie pan with your favorite pie crust.
    Separate the eggs.
    Combine carrots, well beaten egg yolks, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and milk.
    Add salt to the egg whites and whip until stiff.
    Fold the egg whites into the carrot mixture.
    Fill the pie crust.
    Bake in a hot oven (450\u00b0) for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to moderate (325\u00b0) for 30 minutes.
