Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    2 1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add brown sugar and mix well.
    Allow to cool while you sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add eggs to sugar-butter mixture, beating after each addition.
    Add dry ingredients and fold in chips and nuts.
