Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
miniature marshmallows
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and mix well.
In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa and salt.
Add first mixture to the flour mixture; mix well, then add pecans and vanilla.
Bake for 25 minutes at 300\u00b0.
Cover top of cake with miniature marshmallows and return to oven for 10 minutes.
Let cool and cover with icing.
