Kisses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. egg whites (about 4 whites)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Add salt and cream of tartar to egg whites.
    Beat very stiff. Beat in 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
    Fold in remaining sugar, nuts and vanilla.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased paper on a pan.
    Dust with powdered sugar.
    Bake in slow oven (275\u00b0) for 5 minutes. Turn up to brown.
