Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flaked coconut (optional)
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
    Combine sugar, salad oil, eggs and vanilla, stirring well.
    Add flour mixture to sugar mixture, stirring until smooth. Stir in pecans.
    Add coconut, if desired, stirring well.
    Spread batter evenly in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Yield:
    35 (1 1/2-inch) squares.
