Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk chocolate chips
3/4 c. coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream Crisco, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and egg; beat well by hand, not mixer.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt, beating into creamed mixture.
Stir in chips, coconut and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls or make small balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
Makes 5 dozen cookies.
