Candy Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. cream or tartar
several drops red food coloring

Preparation

Mix sugar, water and cream of tartar.
Bring to a boil and cook until it reaches 300\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
Do not stir while cooking.
Add food coloring last.
Keep fire low while dipping apples.
Lay on a cookie sheet.
Spread with Pam.
Makes 12 to 15 medium apples.
Make sure apples are washed and dried good.
