Brown Sugar Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 box plus 1 c. light brown sugar
    5 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar.
    Add eggs and beat. Sift baking powder and flour; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
    Add vanilla and blend.
    Pour into well-greased tube pan. Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
    (Suitable for freezing.)
