Broccoli Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
    1 c. butter
    1 large chopped onion
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 lb. Velveeta cheese
    1 pkg. slivered almonds
    dash of garlic salt
Preparation
    Melt butter; brown onion.
    Melt cheese.
    Add mushrooms, soup, garlic and drained broccoli; mix well.
    Cover with almonds.
    Serve hot.
