Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced raw potatoes
    1/2 c. diced onions
    1 c. diced celery
    2 c. boiling water
    1/4 lb. bacon
    1/4 lb. sliced mushrooms
    1/4 c. diced green peppers
    1 (No. 2) can cream-style yellow corn
    3 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    red pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Peel and dice potatoes.
    Add to onions, celery and water in a heavy kettle. Heat to boiling, cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
