Hamburg Pops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. oregano or marjoram
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1/2 c. minced parsley
    2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1 c. cracker crumbs
    8 skewers
    1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients.
    Divide into 8 portions and shape each portion around a skewer, having it look more or less like a drumstick with a third of the skewer sticking out like a bone. Spread the meat with the mustard, your fingers are the best tool for this.
    Now roll each portion in the crumbs, pressing it all around.
    Sprinkle with the shortening and bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes or until brown or fry on all sides in a skillet, using a little more shortening.
