Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. milk
    1 c. fruit
Preparation
    Mix ingredients together, except the fruit and then stir in the fruit by hand.
    Pour and spread into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
